NaStySuMo Theme Song!

The chorus has been obsessing me for a month now. I said I would do it. There you have it: the National Story of Superhero Month’s theme song!

Please keep in mind that:

  1. It is inspired from the cheesy rock of 80s superhero cartoon.
  2. I’m a girl with a mic and a flute. Not a professional recording studio.
  3. I’m a bit crazy.

You can listen to the song on MySpace if you want to have the true experience. It’s the first one of the list. It’s just a demo recorded in my apartment but it conveys the feeling. Here are the lyrics.

NaStySuMo Theme
When the world seems out to get you
And troubles only come in slew
You might run out of things to do
But salvation’s never far

When routine turns all things dark
You fear your mind might fall apart
Entertainment’s gone and so’s your heart
But salvation’s never far

‘Cause when boredom lurks near
When others cower and disappear
Fear not! Fear not! Fear not!
The NaSties are here!

Their words pummel away distress
No tedium survive their duress
With verve, they make worry regress
And turn frowns upside down

There’s not a villain they won’t fight
Each evil will have dust to bite
They change the world with all their might
And turn frowns upside down

‘Cause when darkness thinks it will win
Stand your ground and even grin
Good has no reason to worry
But evil will soon feel sorry

‘Cause when boredom lurks near
When others cower and disappear
Fear not! Fear not! Fear not!
The NaSties are here!

It’s not too late for you to join and become one of the heroes this song talks about! 😉
