I will be happy to receive emails regarding this blog:
- Constructive criticism that is too elaborate for the comment box
- Reports of spelling or grammar mistakes spotted in a post
- Opportunities for inter-blog activities (I cannot get involved in a major co-writing project at this time but various factors can change that.)
- Special requests for the “How I Write” series or other pertinent post you would like to see me write
- Offer of representation by serious agents or offer of publication by serious editors (one can dream, can’t one?)
- Anything along those lines.
I will not be happy to receive:
- Spam
- Chain mail
- Hate mail
- “Please check out my blog” requests (if you get involved on my blog with your comments, I will most likely return the favor.)
- Anything along those lines.

Hi! I’ve been reading your work for a little bit now and absolutely love your style. I am an aspiring writer and want to try my hand at blog writing. Can you give me any pointers? How do you get people to read your work? Thank you and keep writing!

Hello!
I’m glad you enjoy my work and happy to hear from you.
As far as pointers go, it is important that you find the formula you wish to use on your blog and post regularly. That doesn’t mean you have to post everyday but keeping a regular schedule helps your readers to keep up.
How to get people to read? You need to publicize yourself through social medias. It’s a step by step process and building an audience takes time. You need quality content and a way for people to find you (like blog directories).
Commenting on blogs of the same niche also helps draw people to your blog (e.g. if you comment on my blog regularly, people are likely to click on your name and visit your blog).
You can also get involved in forums (like Absolute Write Water Cooler) and writer groups (check my group out on the NaSty Writing Web.)
Don’t be in a hurry. Write quality content. Stick with your writing. Establish a presence on social media. Eventually, readers will find you. 😉

Hi! Greetings from a fellow web fiction author!
You have some really great stuff here, I’m definitely adding you to my subscriptions. Would you like to do a link exchange?

Hi!
I am currently rethinking all my blog roll. I might put it in pages to de-clutter the sidebar. So I’m not adding any link to it at the moment. Which is not to say that I won’t be interested in link exchange in the future. I just have to figure out how I want to work it in. 😉
I’m glad you enjoy my writing and I checked out your blog real quick but I’ll make sure to return when I have a bit of time.
