Hey there! Just dropping your prompt and getting back to work. Overtime, rah rah rah, you know the drill. 😉
- Read the prompt and find your angle.
- Write a drabble (100 words story, give or take five words).
- Post a direct link to your drabble in the comments (or, if you don’t have a blog, just go ahead and post your drabble in the comments).
- In the post on your blog, make sure to link back to this post
This week’s prompt is: Abandon!
Catch up with you later, guys! Write on!

[…] Erotica seems to have dispelled my writer’s block ;o). Have a look at Aheïla‘s drabble challenge. A drabble is a piece of fiction that’s 100 words. This weeks prompt was … Abandon. […]

Nice to see you’re back! We all have our down times; the important thing is to not give up.
Yes, I did read your drabble before I wrote this comment. 😉

Hi Aheila, I wanted to try and avoid the obvious kind of subject matter with this prompt but alas I think I may have went for a very obvious angle on it, ha ha, still I hope you like it.
Sorrow filled his soul as he began to fade from the memory of his loved ones. The pain in his ice-cold heart was excruciating, how could they play while the life wilted from his body? How could they sing such blissful melodies while he withered away from such a ruinous ailment? Do they have no hearts of their own? Did he not bring them bliss and contentment when they compelled it most? He never asked for anything from them but in his hour of need he wanted only one thing from them to be by his side while he melted.

I can definitely see where you got your inspiration from but yes, I do like it.
And I haven’t forgotten about your email for your script; I’ve just been running everywhere. 😉

It was just slightly harder than I thought it would be. I used the Twitter method. I wrote 130 words and then trimmed.

That’s the way I work too, though after 30 drabbles I’m getting better at thinking in a 100 words format. 😉

How important is the 105 word limit? Sketching Girl’s story is Much better than mine. But it’s 122 words….

This is meant as a personal challenge so I don’t enforce the rules. 😉

Hello Fragmented Dream and welcome to my blog!
I glad you took part in this. And I wouldn’t call the result a failure.

Your piece has a contrary point of view, but the writing is not bad at all, honestly.
