My toes curled around the edge of the plank as if that would be enough to stop the inevitable.
“Aaarrr! Into the drink!” The pirate yelled, shaking his hook.
The gaggle of faces cheered, jumped and picked up the “Aaarrr!” to show its enthusiasm. The pirate’s right eye squinted at me – the other was hidden behind a black patch.
“Aaarrr! The miscreant needs a push!” The pirate waved a sailor forward.
I had been a little tipsy when I agreed to this.
Next thing I knew, I was underwater and the crowd cheered the kid who dunked me.
