Drabble Day – Travel

Hello!

Sorry I’ve been absent a bit lately. Between work and some big decisions, I didn’t have much of a mind to write. Yes, I know, it’s hard to believe. 😉

Tomorrow I’m taking the plane to San Francisco for the Gamification Summit, a conference I’m attending for work. I extended my trip for a couple more days so I could hang out with an awesome woman I met through Kim Harrison’s blog, visit Alcatraz and all that good stuff.

Last week, I also decided that I would attend Surrey’s International Writer’s Conference in October. Which means I just wrapped a noose around my neck and will hang myself if I don’t finish the last pass of edits on Oil and Boiling Water. Figuratively of course. A deadline is a hell of a motivation – pun intended. 😉

So there is a drabble day today (and obviously a whole lot of personal chatter along with it), but I don’t know what my blogging will look like in the coming weeks. I’ll keep you posted as soon as I figure it out.

Remember how it works?

  • Read the prompt and find your angle.
  • Write a drabble (100 words story, give or take five words).
  • Post a direct link to your drabble in the comments (or, if you don’t have a blog, just go ahead and post your drabble in the comments).
  • In the post on your blog, make sure to link back to this post.

Today’s prompt is: Travel!

I’ll try to post a drabble before I take the plane. 😉

Awesome writerly week to all of you!
