Egg – A Drabble

“Unidentified object.” Ekata shielded me and drew her sword. “Let’s go around.”
Unidentified?  I peered over her shoulder but the blue moss hid the object. I took a step. She blocked me.
“Around!” she growled.
“No scientific curiosity whatsoever.”
“Thus I protect your brain.”
I fluttered my lashes for a second. She knew what it meant.
“I go first.” She pushed the white ovoid shape with the tip of her sword. “Seemingly inoffensive.”
I moved closer. “I saw it somewhere.” I flipped through the History of Extinct Species – Volume 1Volume 2… “It’s an egg!”
“What’s it for?”
“Omelets.”
