Drabble Day – Classifieds

For the past two weeks, the better part of my schedule was spent doing one thing: browsing the classifieds. Ok, not exactly. I’ve been browsing websites of a little over a hundred game developers worldwide to see who’s hiring, who develops what and where do I see myself working. And then came the resumé sending and tailored cover letters writing. Seeking employment is a full time job.

Here is how the drabble challenge works!

  • Read the prompt and find your angle.
  • Write a drabble (100 words story, give or take five words).
  • Post a direct link to your drabble in the comments (or, if you don’t have a blog, just go ahead and post your drabble in the comments).

Because it has taken over my life, today’s drabble prompt is : Classifieds!
And here is an additional challenge for those who dare: title your drabble with a very short, classifieds-like sentence (like Mary Higgins Clark did with “Loves Music, Loves to Dance”) and let your story sprout from there. The words in the title do not count in the drabble but shouldn’t be more than ten words.

Bad news is, with all the paperwork, my creative seems to be playing hide-and-seek. I’ll post my own drabble later as I’m not satisfied with it yet. 😉
