Tipsy – A Drabble

“Something’s not right,” Ariana said as she watched Pete wobble down the length of the room. He ran out of wall to steady himself, but tried to keep going only to tip to the side. Ariana gasped, managing to grab him a second before his failing arms made it impossible.
“I can do this,” he muttered, wiggled out of her reach… and fell flat on his face.
“Oh!” Ariana’s face reddened with guilt. “I knew something was off.” Pete glared at her. She tapped his round underfoot with the tip of her shoe. “I screwed your feet on upside down.”

This is a drabble for Monday’s prompt.
